We must hook the audience!!

Today Annie and I were going back and fourth trying to come up with a selling line. We both believe that this is such a crucial point in our magazine that we feel like I think we have though if yet is good enough! I was searching the web trying to get ideas and I stumbled upon this power point to help us further understand what the selling point needed to do. I linked the website that provided us with this information on the conventions of selling points. With a better understanding we were hoping that it would guide us into a better idea of concept but still nothing. I'm going to continue looking through some magazines with similar audiences and try and catch some ideas. However, we did decide the color family of our selling line. We wanted a red/pink hue to help it stand out against that plain background. Also, we think that it will grab the audiences attention as they see it on the shelves. Red causes and increased heart rate and breathing pattern that evokes excitement so we think that it will defiantly do the job in catching attention for the public. We're still playing around with the exact hue because we need the correct balance and we want to see what looks best with our cover since we have haven't taken the photo yet. We were thinking of trying to put a pun into our headline but then we realized that is not a convention of our target audience. So far we having been working great together agreeing with most ideas. When we have different opinions on something we try going in with an open mind just to ensure everything is going well. Because of this I think we are working at a pretty good pcae as far as everything goes.
